Weddings

A day that will last a thousand years.

The castle, the medieval village, the chapel of San Biagio and the church of Parrano: a continuous setting that follows the couple from the ceremony to the late-night toast on the hanging terraces. Civil or religious ceremony, up to two hundred guests, hospitality for everyone between castle and residences.

Every wedding is unique — one couple at a time, absolute privacy, bespoke set-ups designed with the in-house wedding planner. The estate kitchen takes care of the banquet with wine, oil and meat of own production.

Frequently asked questions

Castle weddings & events: the answers.

How many guests can a castle wedding host?
Up to two hundred guests. The Ballroom seats up to one hundred and twenty, the millenary cellar up to two hundred, and the hanging terraces are perfect for cocktails and toasts at sunset.
Can the ceremony be held at the castle itself?
Yes. Religious ceremonies take place in the church of Parrano, connected to the castle by the chapel of San Biagio; civil and symbolic ceremonies find their setting in the halls, on the terraces or among the vineyards of the estate.
Is the castle reserved exclusively?
Always. The Principato hosts one event at a time: castle, village and estate can be reserved entirely, with absolute privacy for the couple and their guests.
Can wedding guests stay overnight at the castle?
Yes: fifty beds between the castle and the historic residences, plus twenty-three farmhouses on the estate. Guests sleep where they celebrate, and can extend their stay between thermal spa, cellar and stables.
Where is the castle and how do you get there?
In Parrano, Umbria — the green heart of Italy, between Rome and Florence. The Orvieto high-speed rail station is twenty-five minutes away; Rome and Florence are about two hours by car.
How do I request a quote for a wedding or an event?
Write to us from the contact page with dates, number of guests and an idea of your day. We reply personally and arrange a visit to the castle to build the project together.
